IT IS OUR SCIENCE THAT IS A RELIGION AND GOD WHO REPRESENTS SCIENCE.
GOD IS NOT RELIGIOUS!
"...As the human mind becomes subordinate to the truth of how things exist, the power of God is brought to bear on your thought, and it determines everything in your experience. Then truly, as Jesus put it, this newfound understanding and knowledge of the truth makes you free." Mark Swinney
This is not religion. Yes, Jesus taught it, but not as a theology for some. This is true for anyone, any time and will always be true no matter what seems to be happening in the world. This is because it is God that is SCIENCE, TRUTH. Our science is our feeble attempt to understand God's creation, hampered by a philosophical need to ignore the larger truth. Contrary to science's belief that God can't be proven, it is God's eternal power which was proven by Christ in daily healings and which can be brought, through faith, to heal any situation individuals face today.
Man's science and his religion are just that-- man's. Both are religion based on man's limited understanding of his origin and place in this world. By letting go of the need for preeminence and status in a seemingly physical world, man can begin to absorb from GOD (Truth) understanding of his deeper spiritual being which is untouched by material lack, disease or death. God doesn't care what religion you think you are. Christ didn't come to start a new religion. Christ came to bring the Truth to anyone who would listen and let go of limited thinking based on physical senses. "Christ" is God's Truth in the world. It has the same effect today as 2000 years ago.
Only one of the following statements can be true: Everything is Matter. Everything is Mind, Consciousness. The Bible says that "the world was not made of things that are visible." Today our science has proven that indeed, what we thought was "mass" is actually a LOT of vibrating "energy." E=MC2. Science has also proven through hundreds of experiments with quantum particles that what we perceive as matter is affected by observation or consciousness. Nearly one hundred and fifty years ago, Mary Baker Eddy put it this way:
"Matter and Mind are opposites. One is contrary to the other in its very nature and essence; hence both cannot be real. If one is real, the other must be unreal. Only by understanding that there is but one power,-- not two powers, matter and Mind,--are scientific and logical conclusions reached. Few deny the hypothesis that intelligence, apart from man and matter, governs the universe; and it is generally admitted that this intelligence is the eternal Mind or divine Principle, Love."
When the world's religions give up individual ownership of "God" and man's science embraces the possibility of higher intelligence, we will be on the verge of awakening to a "new heaven and a new Earth."
