HEAVEN IS GOD, GOD IS HEAVEN

June 2, 2018

How do we know this? The Bible tells us. Common sense tells us.

There is no “place” in God. God is eternal, infinite, omnipresent, omnipotent, Truth and LOVE.

There can be no “place” in eternity, timeless, spaceless, infinite, God.

When the Bible talks about “heaven” it can only mean one thing— John 15:5  “I am the vine and you are the branches, If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit for apart from me you can do nothing.” Spiritual fruit means evidence of Spiritual Truth, power over the world of the flesh. There is no place called heaven. Heaven is rejoining the presence of God.

Romans 11:36  (MSG)…Everything comes from Him

Everything ends up in Him

And this is a very good thing! It means since God is eternal, always, now, heaven is also now—we have but to unlearn the “world.”

Many have done it.

II Cor 4:18    Look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

II Cor 10:5    “… bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”

“Slay the old man.”  Romans 6:6, Ephesians 2:15; 4:22, Colossians 3:9-11

Leave the belief in and attachment to the world of the flesh behind and live in faith of the unseen and in the power of spirit over the flesh.

A Course in Miracles: “For what is heaven but union, direct and perfect without the veil of fear upon it? Here we are one, looking with perfect gentleness upon each other and on ourselves. Here all thoughts of any separation between us become impossible.”

In Science and Health, with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy says this about heaven: “Heaven represents harmony, and divine Science interprets the Principle of heavenly harmony. The great miracle, to human sense, is divine Love and the grand necessity of existence is to gain the true idea of what constitutes the kingdom of heaven in man.”

This is the reason for the second commandment: Love thy brother as yourself. In order to love our brother, much less our enemy “as ourselves”, we must first understand our true nature as spirit, connected by God’s love. This cannot be achieved from our fleshly nature.

John 12:32 KJV And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

Heaven is expecting you.
